I’m working this morning and tomorrow morning, but I’m cashing in some paid time off this week for the rest. Project car progress is a definite possibility.

It’s nice, but it’s also time to force myself into making progress I really don’t want to do. Because it’s a pain in the rear.

You’ll feel better for getting it done.

If I get far enough along sectioning the doors and reworking the rear floor and fenders, it should make for a pretty good photo. A project car with doors on it, who’da thunk it.

Flexible shaft and some sort of bevel drive on the skate?

Looks like there is only one shaft, too. Right Side Drive.

Edit - looks like they were in the Henry Ford museum at some point.

i hear you on that. i am still in the progress of stacking parts closer together.(if you keep stacking them close enough, you end up with a car)

its fun to look back at the old pictures sometimes, and surprise yourself with how far something has come.

Imagine the noise, too. I think that would be a pretty crappy DD.

I’m about ready for a new parts stack; radiators and a body solder kit and some other stray pieces. Maybe door cards? Most of my previous parts stack is on the car, with the exceptions of the clutch throwout parts and the headers. The headers mostly because I have to screw them to a piece of wood to stay straight and take sections out of them. Because my engine had almost no room to either side, the stock manifolds won’t fit either, so might as well go headers even if they require “editing”.

all the editing, to make sure that nothing gets in a bind. are you going to make the move and get the fender exits?

fun stuff.

I thought about fender exits, but as high as they’d need to be to pipe out properly (over the subframe rails - unibody), they’d make for super-short secondaries and a whole raft of other conflicts on the left side with the suspension or brakes/clutch/steering column. Best to just make them very sharply bent and tweaked forward or back as needed.
